Why should I support?
An average American throws away 81 pounds of clothing each year
Globally, we produce 13 million tons of textile waste
It is estimated that 95% of this waste could be recycled and reused
WHAT IS THE GOAL?
Prosfero is a non-profit started by founder Aadi Shankar in 2018. Prosfero aims to collect clothing from the greater Princeton, NJ area, and then provide this clothing to children in India who don't have enough money to afford their own.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Prosfero tries to make it easier for their Donor's because you deserve it. There are only 4 easy steps in our process of shipping clothing.
1) Donors put their used clothing in plastic bags or cardboard boxes for a Prosfero representative to pick it up.
2) A Donor schedule's a time for a Prosfero representative to come pick up a donation.
3) The Prosfero volunteer cleans and folds, and then gets the clothing ready to ship.
4) DHL International exports to Panipat, India, where Prosfero distributes the clothes among students who can't afford to buy much clothing themselves
PROUDLY SHIPPING THROUGH DHL INTERNATIONAL
As of Summer 2020, Prosfero has teamed-up with DHL International to efficiently and safely provide students with clothing.
